Being successful in any business venture is the ultimate goal for any budding entrepreneur. And I’m no different. Life is full of challenges and hardships. But with every obstacle comes opportunities. Only those who manage to grab these opportunities manage to become successful in achieving their goals. Sustaining a successful organization like Ergode requires the ability to create new growth. The bottom line is, if you fail to find new ways of growing, you end up becoming irrelevant. Having said that, I would like to use this platform to share my secret formula for success.
One of the most important factors that helped us grow considerably over the past 10 years is our presence in the marketplace. Marketplace plays an important role because 90% of our revenue comes from it. The more marketplaces we manage to build more sales we end up getting. This helps us in covering the various costs like setup costs, IT costs, investment costs and many more. Marketplaces can benefit everyone in different ways. For us, it helps us find new customers and to make their operations easier. For customers, marketplaces act as a neutral platform where they can find everything they need like stunning deals on products and reviews. Venturing with established marketplaces helps generate more sales than having your marketing website. Currently, we have more than 110 marketplaces within the organization (kudos to everyone managing them). Our two biggest marketplaces at the moment are Amazon and Walmart. Besides these, we also have a few local marketplaces that are as important as the global ones. Some of you might be thinking if there’s a need for so many marketplaces. The answer is YES, thousand times YES. Having more marketplaces means we can explore more regions and tap more customers for even a niche requirement which provides us with an opportunity to enter a new country and increase the overall sale thus establishing us as a Global Etailer.
Our continuous growth and success are attributed to the hard work put in by every one of you who has helped us build our strong presence globally. While the foundation of our global success was based on our dream, it became a reality through the hard work, sweat, and determination of our Ergodian family. I would like to end this by quoting one of my favorite Bollywood number.
