Content Marketing and Content Saturation

I often see that my in-house content team at Ergode works vigorously on designing the content to put up for our visitors and consumers on our website. It always reminds me of the phrase, “Content is the ruling king” And I too believe strongly that your content is the mirror of your brand image. Initially, content marketing used to be a way to set yourself apart from your competitors and make yourself look appealing. However, it has now become a necessity for any modern brand to sustain in the competition.

Today, behind every great brand is a wealth of valuable and relevant content that really connects with the company’s audience.

Your consumers get attracted to your content first and your products later. When consumers feel the content is engaging, educational, and valuable, then they will automatically start to think the same things about your business. So, the more value one provides with the content, the easier it becomes to build trust with your target audience. Not only this, Google too, takes under consideration the most appealing and organic content when ranking web pages. It regularly replaces its algorithm to make sure that any content material that seems on the highest of SERPs is genuinely useful and exciting for the searcher. That’s the reason why nearly all the companies today are focused on having skilled content masters in-house with them.

Earlier, content marketing wasn’t an on-going process at Ergode. But now, the content marketing team develops content which is not only knowledgeable but also appealing. It is not only limited to websites – we have started using all our Social Media Platforms to build a loyal audience base by answering purchase-related questions and imparting knowledge about our products and services. I learnt that with thorough and well- researched content, Ergode has created a level of trust from our engaged community which eventually yielded sales and profits.

The journey of content creation wasn’t easy. There was also a time when we suffered something called content saturation. We produced more content than our employees and customers could consume. During this process, I learnt a few things to avoid content saturation:

  1. Create a Long Term Value

While composing the content, keep the end goal to mark its presence in the long term, and not for some random fleeting occasion. Make sure that the content has its relevance for a wide range of population across the majority of the generations, not just today but also in the years to come. Aim for content that can stand the test of time.

  1. Diversified Content

The same kind of content becomes over repetitive and too mainstream for readers to read and results in monotony and boredom. You need to equally balance the different themes, perspectives, and agendas – something more significant, bolder, distinct from the competition. Otherwise, the chances are high that you will become one of those abandoned websites which readers seldom like to visit.

  1. Discover the undiscovered or dormant sections

It is time to discover and unleash those inactive sections which did not receive attention at all by any of your competitors. You never know, that may turn out to be a goldmine for you. The potential of these hidden places is enormous as they haven’t been tapped yet. And if you manage to dominate these under-served channels with amazing new content can serve you with the substantial undiscovered audience.

4.Vigorous Presence on Platforms

Just creating rich content won’t really suffice until that content is moved on different networking platforms. If it doesn’t reach the relevant audience, then it is nothing but merely a waste of time, money and effort. So, make sure when you pump out all our energy into creating these beautiful content, it doesn’t just go in vain with very few views.

  1. Focus on Optimized Content

In the technology-driven world, Search Engine Optimization is the most critical tool to enhance or diminish your business online. And to make sure that your content ranks on the top in the searches focus on aligning your content by the parameters of SEO and for that, optimized content is the solution.

Agree or not, the companies that regularly deliver relevant and meaningful content are bound to experience long term success. In this journey, a content marketing strategy can help you a lot to enhance your readers, visits on the page and sales importantly.
