“It’s only when you risk failure that you discover things. When you play it safe, you’re not expressing the utmost of your human experience.”
—Lupita Nyong’o
Life is nothing but a continuous ebb and flow and failures are a part and parcel who add to the beauty of the success journey. Ever imagined, what life would have been if it was a continuous linear pattern with no waves moving up and down? Wouldn’t it be too dull to enjoy? Yes, even the lifeline of a human body is a continuous wavy pattern with its own ups and its own downs. And what happens when it goes linear? A dead lifeless body ready to decay and decompose. Same happens when the essence of struggle and failures is taken away from the journey of life. It becomes dull and lifeless and the taste of success no longer remains sweet and exciting. The impediments of failures are never too strong enough to wither you, only if you don’t lose hope.

Sitting on my window pane and scribbling my thoughts on a topic so relevant and optimistic, it reminded me of the days when I was just a college going student, studying in my Chemical Engineering classes. The carefree days of life when failures in exams or assignments never let the gloomy shadow of sadness lurk in. We were just as happy and cheerful to be an average performer like others and those failures never seemed to us as failures. But as career started moulding into different spheres, life became more challenging but never too hard to lose hope. Failures were obviously always there, as not everything we put our hands into, turns a big success. And amidst it all, my decision to venture into my entrepreneurial skills was definitely a risky idea. Perceived failures were already mapped out and as a stubborn person, I was ready to test my patience. Struggles were there as it was not a bed of roses and it took days and nights of hardships but when the commitment was so strong, nothing could shake my will. And the beautiful amalgamation of failures with drops of success brought me here, a tough journey though, but worth it. But what if I had given up in the middle when the tide of failures came up strong?
“Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.”- Og Mandino

The idea of sharing the glimpses of my story was just to bring a hope that ‘Failures are just a phase, stand strong and thy shall pass.’ When the determination goes stronger, problems become small challenges which are just a step away from the doors of success. And any success without the story of failures becomes too dull to narrate. Let us make sure we have enough stories in our bucket with sprinkles of failures and bundles of success before we die too young by giving up hopes. Chase failures and success will chase you harder.
“I don’t believe in failure. It is not failure if you enjoyed the process.”
—Oprah Winfrey
