It is a universal truth that Mother Nature is a brilliant artist. With a swish of a hand, she can change entire landscapes to depict the beauty of the world with the change of every season.

During winters too, the temperatures drop and the trees shed their leaves, all gearing up for the new spring and the New Year. Similarly, in the Northern countries, the land covers itself up in a blanket of snow, while the people gear up to celebrate a white Christmas. A warm festival to spread joy and give with all one’s heart.

Having lived in the States for so many years, this season along with its much-awaited celebration is something I hold quite dear to my heart. It is not any other connotation but what this festival symbolizes that can warm even the most frigid corners of anyone’s heart.
The joy of giving and spreading happiness, the joy of sacrificing a little to bring a smile to another’s face. It is definitely true that there is nothing warmer than the contentment one feels in being the reason behind the smile of another.

These sacrifices can be small but might mean the world to another. After all, it is but “drops that make up the ocean”. Start small, a warm blanket to those in need, a shelter for strays to beat the winter chill, a warm bowl of soup or coffee for those struggling against the frosty wind to get your Christmas gifts delivered to your doorstep on time.

These gestures might seem small and insignificant to you but might make someone’s day. All the while spreading cheer and kindling the belief that the world truly is a wonderful place and people, caring, joyful and full of love.
Wishing everyone an extremely joyful season.
