All Under One Roof

I think the daily rhythm of our lives has changed. Mostly, we used to bid farewell to our family members in the morning and reconnect with them in the evening. This was the case on all working days. On account of COVID-19, this pattern got disrupted. Staying at home and staying safe is the priority now. Seeing the seriousness of the current situation, most of the employers have offered the work from home option to their workforce. Organizations are trying to fulfill two responsibilities, the first to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees and the second to keep the operations and business running. I must say that at Ergode, we have been able to achieve both.

The quick-thinking of the managerial team at Ergode and a fast decision-making process made it all possible. The team went into action to facilitate the work from home option for more than 500+ employees. It was a challenge to facilitate the WFH option for these many employees in a short span of time. The determination made it possible for us to overcome this challenge.

The outbreak of Coronavirus has suddenly made remote working a necessity. I am pleasantly surprised to see the way each one of us at Ergode has adapted to this new work routine. Our workforce is connected and working with the same dedication and enthusiasm. Our employees are delivering results almost the same as when we were working from the office. We are trying to maintain the highest level of service to our customers. On the one hand, while we are picking up the pace with a virtual workplace, meeting rooms. On the other hand, we come together in virtual online groups to catch up and share happy, positive moments with one another in this tough situation.

As someone rightly said, ‘the show must go on’. The willingness to give your best even in an adverse situation is what really matters. We were able to keep the show running in a close-knit organization like Ergode.

On a concluding note, I want to say that my thoughts are with those affected by the virus. I hope for the well-being and safety of each person. Optimism has never killed anyone. Deep down, I know that it is just a ‘matter of time’ before we humans register our victory over the Coronavirus…
