How I mixed business with pleasure on my last Mumbai visit

As everyone knows I recently visited India and as usual my trip was mostly business. But every time I come to India I am filled with nostalgia. Every time I come to our Mumbai office I feel immense pride in what we have achieved together. Every time I converse with my beloved Ergodians I have the widest smile across my face. I cannot sum up my journey in words as we would need at least a hundred blogs to cover them (relax, I won’t even attempt it). My latest was the most productive one not just for me but also for the company. From discussing the future of the company to tasting my favorite street foods in Mulund, Mumbai. I will try incorporating as much as I can. Here we go.

Unlike the other times that I have visited India in the past few months, this one turned out to be the best. It was the most productive visit as all the members of the Apex team were present. Before every session an agenda was set. After every meeting the minutes were sent to every member of the Apex team. Just to give you an overview of our agendas included several topics with inputs from every member. From creating SOPs for every department to revamping our IT infrastructure. We discussed EVERYTHING. We even came to the conclusion that as leaders we need to self evaluate ourselves. We know that there is room for improvement and we will take all the help we can get. We also had a productive meeting with Amazon. We are looking to expand our business to new countries. We discussed the challenges with them and derived solutions. Global domination is next on our agenda and we are confident that we can achieve that. Phew! These discussions with the Apex team lasted for an entire week. Now let us move on to something fun.

I am confident that you will agree with me when I say that Indian street food is the best in the world. From gorging on sev puris to devouring vada pavs from our local food stalls. This is one of the most exciting things I look forward to every time I am down. I would like to recall a fun lunch outing I had with the Apex team. We visited a Punjabi restaurant in Mulund called Mann Punjab (THIS IS NOT A PAID PARTNERSHIP). We tried and tasted (saw what I did there?) the local Punjabi dishes such as Makki Di Roti and Sarson Ka Saag. It was unbelievably delicious. While I encourage healthy eating, I do believe that you should let loose every once in a while. A huge shout-out to Anish Doshi for always advising us what to order and where to eat. He is our go-to guy when it comes to food. So, next time I am down in Mumbai and you would like to try a new exotic cuisine, feel free to hit me up. The best way to eat anything and stay healthy is to WALK, WALK and WALK. I make it a point to walk 10,000 steps a day. That’s how I can try out various street foods and stay fit. Try it and let me know. Until next. STAY HEALTHY, STAY HAPPY!
