The celebration continues as the festive season is now reaching its climax. With that being said, I was glad that I could celebrate Diwali early with my Ergode family. The experience of celebrating the festival of light in your homeland is unique and brought back many fond memories. Like India, Diwali is also celebrated around the world. Like food, fashion, and faith, we proud Indians love carrying our customs and traditions wherever we go. Over the years, a growing Indian population has been celebrating Diwali in the States, and sometimes we go all out to replicate the massive festivities from our motherland. Let me just give you a brief overview of how massive Diwali has become in this part of the world. The scale of celebrations has become such that popular US tourist spots like Disneyland in California and New York’s Times Square get painted in vibrant Indian colors. Even the White House has been celebrating the festival for many years. After all, the 3.1 million Indian-Americans form one of the most successful immigrant communities in the US. But, having said that, home is where the heart is. There is nothing that can replace the feeling of celebrating this auspicious festival back home in India.

Despite leaving for the States just a day before the festivities began, I still got the opportunity to celebrate Diwali back in the Mulund office. A big hearty thank you to all my Ergodians for adhering to the festive dress code. Everyone looked colorful and vibrant in their traditional outfits. I also got the chance to see so the talented and creative side of my Ergodians as many people stepped forward for the diya painting competition. The diyas were wonderfully painted, and some even went a step ahead and got additional materials from home for the competition. Trust me, if I were a buyer, I would have definitely paid top dollar to buy those diyas as they were absolutely top-notch. A huge shoutout to everyone who participated in the competition. I would also like to use this space to thank the Corporate Communications team and the Admin team for successfully pulling off the Diwali program across all our Indian locations.

As the festive week continues, I would urge everyone to live life every day as if it were a festival. May millions of lamps illuminate your life with endless prosperity, health, and wealth forever. Wishing you and your family a very HAPPY DIWALI and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
