I am often asked about what it takes to build a successful organization? It takes passion, hard work, dedication, commitment and also days and nights without actually seeing your family due to long hours of work. But what makes an organization to successfully sustain is the employees and their teamwork. The best way I can think of describing teamwork is by using the French term, esprit de corps. It means feeling a sense of unity among people who share the common interest of responsibilities and tasks. Ask any successful entrepreneurs and they will stress the importance of camaraderie at the workplace. I can confirm from my experience that being in a team is equivalent to staying with your immediate family. We often fight (keeping the greater good in mind), solve issues (be it professional or even sometimes personal), laugh, and enjoy each others company like a well-knit family. Ask any manager within the Ergode system and they will comply that you are only as good as your team. Let me give you an example, if there’s a deadline to be met, working as a cohesive unit with your team will ensure that you meet them successfully. If one member lags, the other members of the team are ready to pick up the pieces and fill in. Every employee at Ergode has different skill sets, but it’s when we come together as a team is when we’re able to produce our absolute best.
Over the last few weeks, I have observed some prime examples of teamwork and would like to use this space to applaud them. Our warehouse team was able to pack and ship a huge amount of products in a single day. Talk about a well-oiled unit. Our customer service team in Andheri implemented processes to minimize losses from the Walmart Canada marketplace for August. The finance team streamlined the shipping audit and refund process at Virventures and successfully reduced the discrepancy rate. Our Customer Service team at Virventures achieved a splendid feat of securing ‘Above Standard Level’ for Virventures on the eBay marketplace. A heartfelt congratulations to everyone and keep up the good work on showing the world how’s it done.

“There’s no I in TEAM” and “TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK” may sound cringe and cliched but it’s also very true. With teamwork, the sky is just the limit and I would like to end this piece by quoting Harvey Ford, “ Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress and working together is SUCCESS.”
