When we talk of democracy, it should not start so far as from your country but right from the workplace where employees should be given a voice and an atmosphere that’s of the people, for the people, and by the people. A workplace atmosphere that fails to integrate these core principles of democracy within itself ultimately fails to make its people feel a part of the bigger organization. Then, it is bound to happen that the organization witnesses poor retention and employee collapse.

Picture7Ever thought of how a work atmosphere can affect an employee’s psychology? Any atmosphere that fails to motivate its employee and on the top of it, ruled by poor leadership can make an extraordinary employee too, feel unwanted. When management and organization fail to cater to the needs of its employees and value only things suited to their best interests, then it is bound to impact the employees negatively where they lose confidence and their respect for the workplace. Once the interest is lost, the employees lose all the emotional connect with their workplace and turn into just paycheck seekers. Then, their primary motivation is no more work enhancement or quality assurance, but only task completion on a daily basis to get paid at the end of every month.
