Employee Engagement: The Pivot of Modern Workplaces!

“To win in the marketplace, you must first win in the workplace.”

– Doug Conant

As a young entrepreneur in the digital world, my industry and generation are undergoing a massive shift and a revolutionary change is about to take shape. Old workspaces are perishing as they deny to give up on their old ways and new modern workplaces are seeing the rise of a more strong, community-oriented, loyal workforce. Analyzing the shift taking place, one major pivot of all the modern workplaces that I could realize to be the major game changer is the culture of employee engagement.

The sooner the organizations believe that its people are the face of the company’s brand image and they are the major stakeholders of the organizations, they start moving the upward direction in growth. Happy and satisfied employees mean increased productivity and a strong work foundation as engaged employees go the extra mile to contribute to the success of your organization. In short, engagement means that employees work and express themselves freely in physical, cognitive and emotional manner and feel like privileged stakeholders in the growth of the organization.

It took me through an intensive understanding of how my people would love to work in the organization and feel happy doing what they do. Witnessing for myself, engaged employees drive innovation and move the company forward because they are typically passionate about the mission and vision of the company and are thus more likely to go above and beyond.

Moving out of the rigid enclosed shell of the old workplaces, when companies take that extra step to cater the emotions and needs of its people, the employees develop more of an emotional stake in the company’s success which makes them more effective and productive because they have a greater purpose in their day-to-day work. Removing the hierarchical barriers and bringing everyone on the same line with equal opportunities of recognition, Ergode has made its important mark among the modern workplaces by making its place among the ‘50 Best Places to Work For’ by Silicon Review and ‘The Best Places to Work For 2019’ by Business Connect Magazine.

“Connect the dots between individual roles and the goals of the organization.

When people see that connection, they get a lot of energy out of work.

They feel the importance, dignity, and meaning in their job.”

Ken Blanchard
