Since my childhood, I’ve had a fascination for watches and clocks. Not being duped by its façade I was always mesmerised by the intricate workings of these man-made mechanisms that were able to trap the otherwise invisible passing of Time.

However what always mesmerized me much more (especially the vintage watches working solely upon mechanical energy) was how all the parts worked together in sync to achieve this feat.
This was something that has always made me thoughtful and this time it was my father who explained the importance of such a thought to me.

He said that the goal of the watch is to keep time, and the different parts of the watch were to help it do it. These different parts had to be able to work together in order to keep the perfect time. Even if one tiny knob failed, the entire watch would be deemed as usual.

An organization works in a similar way. Every organization has a particular goal and is, in turn, made up of different departments, much like the structure of honeycomb. It is these parts, each with its different functions that work together to achieve the best possible results. However, if these departments do not work in sync with each other and if even one department does not execute its best…the entire goal falls through.

Therefore, it is but a universal truth that ‘United we stand and Divided we Fall.’
